Spokane Shock News Release
December 3, 2007- The Spokane Shock announced today that WR Davin Dennis has been assigned to the 2008 roster. In other Shock news, OL Harrison Nikolao has signed a contract with the Philadelphia Soul. Nikolao, a former Eastern Washington University Eagle, had originally signed a contract with the Shock on November 9th.
Dennis finished his collegiate career in 2005 at Kansas State University and spent part of last season on the practice squad of the AFL's ArenaBowl Champion San Jose SaberCats. As a KSU Wildcat, Dennis collected 67 receptions with 7 touchdowns and 934 yards over his four-year career. In the 2004 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, Dennis tallied seven receptions for 113 yards against Ohio State.
"Davin has good hands and great speed (he registered a 4.48 in the 40-yard dash)," Head Coach Adam Shackleford said. "He has AFL experience with the SaberCats that will really help our receivers."
With today's transactions, the Shock have 23 players on their roster for the 2008 season. The Shock will host the Stockton Lightning on April 5th for the first home game of the 2008 season at Spokane Tribe Field at the Spokane Arena. Season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by calling (509) 242 7462.
