LUBBOCK, TX: December 3, 2007 - The Lubbock Renegades added to their 2008 roster, as the arenafootball2 (af2) assigned wide receiver/defensive back Chad Jackson to the club.
"Chad was one of the final cuts I came across at a Dallas Desperados (AFL) tryout camp," said Renegades Head Coach Rodney Blackshear. "He presented a lot of speed and my goal is to add a lot of speed to our team this season. Chad appears to be a player that can add speed on defense and also has the experience to mix in on offense as a receiver."

Jackson also spent time with the Moundbuilders track and field team. He transferred to Evangel and was redshirted during the 2005 season before seeing action in 2006. Jackson prepped at Carrollton's R.L. Turner High School and played under Tim Beck, who is the wide receiver's coach at Kansas University. He never played organized football until his senior year and earned all-district honors after 35 receptions for 550 yards. Jackson was also was a track and basketball star while in high school.
