
Shawn Lalonde Signs Entry Level Contract with Chicago Blackhawks

Belleville Bulls defenceman Shawn Lalonde has signed a three year entry level contact with the Chicago Blackhawks. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed. Lalonde was selected by Chicago in the third round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. Lalonde is in his fourth season with Belleville and currently leads the team in scoring with eight goals and 27 points in 29 games played this season while also adding 47 penalty minutes. Last season, he recorded 19 goals and 53 points in 66 games played with the Bulls. The Orleans, Ontario native was Belleville's first round pick in the 2006 OHL Priority Selection.
