GREENSBORO - The Jacksonville Sharks (7-1) traveled to Greensboro, NC to take on the Carolina Cobras (6-3) in a battle for the top seed in the NAL. After a back and forth first half the Sharks slammed their foot on the pedal defeating the defending champs 55-29 in the Snake Pit. This victory secures Jacksonville sweep of the Carolina Cobras for the 2019 regular season. The #1 Sharks keep their position at the top of the league standings going into week 11. Tonight's win becomes even more memorable as it becomes the 100th Regular Season victory in team history. Jacksonville joins only 16 other arena and indoor football teams.

Sharks Quarterback Mike Fafaul took over the starting role as Jonathan Bane has been put on short-term IR. After a rough start to the game, Fafaul bounced back 28-of-49 for 201 yards, five touchdowns, and only yielding one interception. Wide Receiver Devin Wilson led the team in receiving touchdowns tonight with 61 yards and three touchdowns. Jarmon Fortson led the team in receiving yards and matched Wilson with 10 catches for one touchdown. Durron Neal came played a versatile role tonight scoring one rushing touchdown and one passing touchdown. Kamrin Solomon made his Sharks debut with a 16 yard touchdown catch on his first play. He ended the night with two receptions for 27 yards and one touchdown. Zack Brown played well on both sides of the ball scoring on a rushing touchdown and picked up a sack on defense.

The Jacksonville defense continues to drive this win streak. Holding the Cobras to under 30 points again and racking up three interceptions and five sacks against the NAL leading offense in points scored. Defensive Lineman Keith Bowers had 1.5 tackles, one tackle, and 1.5 sacks. Despite an unstable first half on offense the defense held their own all four quarters, completely shutting out the Cobras in the second half.

The next Sharks game is on Saturday, June 22 against the New York Streets, the only team the Sharks lost to this season. It'll be "Revenge of the Sharks" for Star Wars night the first 1,000 kids in attendance (12 & Under) will receive free jedi lightsabers.
