JUPITER, FL - The scoring drought continued for the Hammerheads as they fell to Bradenton 1-0 on Thursday. Jupiter was shutout for the second straight game as the team has been kept off the scoreboard for 20 innings.

Unfortunately for the Sharks the second half of the season began the same way the first half ended, with the bats going silent. After managing just one hit against Palm Beach on Tuesday, the Hammerheads collected just two hits on Thursday.

This time it was Bradenton starter Tyler Glasnow who shutdown the Sharks as he tossed six shutout innings with seven strikeouts and just two walks.

The Hammerheads didn't have any luck against Josh Smith or Bryton Trepagnier out of the bullpen either as they did not get a hit in the final three innings.

Jupiter starter Austin Brice, who was celebrating his 22nd birthday, was given a tough-luck loss. He allowed just one run on seven hits in seven innings. He struck out two and walked three.

The Marauders scored their only run in the third inning. Adam Frazier drew a leadoff walk, advanced to second when Brice threw a wild pitch, and moved to third on a groundout by Max Moroff. Josh Bell would drive Frazier home when he hit a sac fly to deep center for the game's lone run.

The Hammerheads didn't pose much of an offensive threat all night. Jupiter's first hit came in the third when Noah Perio reached on an infield single down the third base line but that inning came to an end when Glasnow retired the next three batters.

In the fourth the Sharks would get their only runner into scoring position when Matt Juengel reached on a one-out double but Glasnow got out of the jam by striking out Viosergy Rosa and Ryan Rieger.

Things looked promising for Jupiter in the ninth when Colin Moran reached on a leadoff walk to start the inning but a strike-him-out-throw-him-out double play would squash any momentum the Hammerheads had gained.

Trepagnier would walk Rosa following the double play but he got Rieger to groundout to end the game.

Jupiter and Bradenton will continue the three-game series on Friday night at Roger Dean Stadium. The game will have a special 5:35 p.m. start time because the movie Rookie of the Year will be shown on the video board following the game.
