JACKSONVILLE - The Jacksonville Sharks (13-1) complete the regular season sweep on the Orlando Predators (2-12) 85-30 on Saturday night. Heading to the playoffs, the Sharks are on a 13-game win streak, which ties the franchise record for the most consecutive wins in team history dating back to 2011. This is also the fourth time in Sharks history that they swept the Predators (2011, 2012, 2013 and now 2019). On the first offensive play of the game for the Sharks, Wide Receiver, Devin Wilson, found himself in the end zone for the 17th consecutive game in the NAL. This breaks the all-time record for most consecutive games with at least one receiving touchdown. The previous record was held by Massachusetts Pirates WR, Mardy Gilyard, with 16. Wilson now owns the record with 17 consecutive games. The Sharks also broke a franchise record: Back-to-Back games with two or more pick-six plays!

Quarterback, Mike Fafaul, finished the game 17-of-21 for 239 yards and six touchdowns. Wide Receiver, Devin Wilson, finished on top of the receivers with four receptions for 86 yards and two touchdowns. Chris Gilchrist returned tonight, he tallied four receptions for 52 yards and one touchdown. Durron Neal and Jarmon Fortson each contributed making one touchdown reception a piece.

Defensively, Defensive Back, Markus Smith, led the team in interceptions with three, one returned for a touchdown. Jack Linebacker, Cody Saul, saw the end zone twice on defense, both of his interceptions were returned for touchdowns. He also saw the end zone on offense, scoring a touchdown on one reception. Defensive Lineman, Aaron Bellazin, totaled 2.5 sacks tonight. The Sharks were able to recover two fumbles on defense.

In the third quarter, the Sharks continued to run up the score, as Saul found his second pick-six of the night. He also found the end zone on offense for the first time of the night. The Sharks doing what they do best, in the third quarter ran the clock down, scored points, and forced turnovers, putting the game at 71-30 with just 15 minutes to play. The Sharks were able to keep the Predators from scoring a single point in the second half as well as attaining yet another franchise record with an outstanding 85 total points (Most Points Scored in a Single Game).

The next Sharks game is the first round of playoffs, happening on Tuesday, August 6 at 7 p.m. as the Sharks take on the Columbus Lions at home, the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. For tickets, please call (904) 621-0700 or visit ticketmaster.com.
