Jacksonville Sharks News Release
JACKSONVILLE - Two-time All-Arena linebacker Aaron Robbins has chosen a home for the 2015 season, and it's not Jacksonville. The four-year Shark who was part of Jacksonville's ArenaBowl XXIV-winning team has joined the rival Orlando Predators.
"I cannot remember a Shark player who has left Jacksonville via free agency to go to that city in Central Florida," Sharks Operating Manager Jeff Bouchy said. "He chose them over us, and if you are a Shark, you just don't do that. He turned his back on our fans, our organization and our team. You are either with us or against us."
Following the transaction, the Sharks are offering a jersey exchange for any fan who purchased an AFL-licensed Robbins Sharks jersey last season.
"Our fans should never have to wear a jersey of a player on that team," Bouchy added. "That is why we are allowing our great fans to exchange his jersey for that of a loyal Sharks player. It is the least we can do for our fans."
In order to complete the exchange, Shark fans may mail their jersey and contact information to the Sharks' office (1000 W. Bay St., Jacksonville, FL, 32204), bring their jersey to the Sharks office, or exchange it either at the forthcoming Season Ticket Pickup event or at the first home game of the season.
The Sharks will open their 2015 home schedule against the Predators on Friday, April 3.
