
Sharks Land Two-Time Arena Champion Harold Love

JACKSONVILLE - The 2019 National Arena League champion Jacksonville Sharks announced today the signing of defensive lineman Harold Love. Love enters his sixth season of arena football and first with the current league champions.
Harold Love III (6'3, 330) is a five-year defensive lineman who spent time in the Arena Football League (AFL), Indoor Football League (IFL), Champion Indoor Football League (CIF), and the American Arena League (AAL). In 2019, Love helped lead the West Virginia Roughriders to an AAL Championship and earned All-AAL honors while recording over 20 sacks during the regular season. Prior to the Roughriders, he spent two seasons playing in Spokane (2017,2015) serving as a defensive lineman on the 2017 Empire starting 12 games totaling 36 tackles. In 2016, Love played for the Dodge City Law of the CIF playing in 12 games recording 55 tackles, 13.5 tackles for a loss and six sacks. In 2015, Love played for the Spokane Shock of the AFL. In 2014, Love played for the AFL's Portland Thunder. During that same season, Love also played for the Tri-cities Fever of the IFL recording 15 tackles, three sacks and four tackles for a loss, and one blocked kick.
Before arena football, Love started his college career at Feather River College, a CCCAA school in Sacramento, CA before transferring to Bethune-Cookman in 2010. Love finished his career at BCU with a total of 92 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 13 tackles for a loss, eight hurries, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and one pass breakup. Love is a native of Portland, Oregan, and played High School football at Grant High earning first-team All-League honors for the defensive line as a senior and a junior.
