Jacksonville Sharks News Release

JACKSONVILLE, FL - Jacksonville Sharks announced that fans around the world can watch all 16 games of the 2010 season free through AFL Live online broadcast network.

AFL Live, powered by NiFTy's patented online broadcasting technology, will provide Free-For-View live access to all AFL regular season games, with the exception for the weekly-designated Game of the Week to be televised on the NFL Network.

"We are very pleased to partner again with NiFTy," AFL Commissioner, Jerry B. Kurz said. "Our fans have made it clear they want live television and online coverage of our games, and we are very excited to be able to offer both in a very complementary format."

"We are really looking forward to the opportunity to carry the 2010 AFL season online," said Marcus Morton, NiFTy's President and co-founder. "This is our third year carrying [Arena Football], and it's been a great complement to our growing broadcast family."

Viewers access the broadcasts using the AFL Live media player. In addition to live broadcast coverage, AFL Live will provide unlimited Video On Demand access to all broadcast games throughout the season. The player has been available for download since March 19th, and the AFL season begins April 2. Game schedules and the player are available on the Sharks website at JaxSharks.com. The Sharks inaugural game at Oklahoma City will be available only through AFL Live.

The Jacksonville Sharks are members of the Arena Football League (AFL). All home games will be played at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. Watch the Sharks rip into the Orlando Predators as toe meets leather for the home opener April 16th. Season tickets for the inaugural season of the Jacksonville Sharks are now available for as low as $45. To reserve your seats or for more information please call (904) 621-0700.
