HEAD COACHES: Mike Trigg is in his third season as head coach of the Sharks. Last season, Trigg lead the Sharks to a 7-9 record. The numbers don't tell the whole story however as the Sharks were far more competitive in their sophomore campaign with the team just missing the post season on the final day of the season. Heading in to 2009, Trigg has revamped his coaching staff and his roster determined to deliver a winning season to Sharks fans!

HEAD COACHES: Ben Bennett takes the reins of the Dusters this season after leading the Austin Wranglers in the 2008 campaign. The Dusters made a playoff run to the conference final in 2008 and Bennett looks to take the team to the next level this season. Bennett won the Arena Cup while coaching the Florida Firecats in 2004

LEAGUE TOP 5: Sharks players from this week's matchup who rank among af2's statistical leaders:

SHARKS Player Rank Category Stat Gary Cooper 1 Rushing TD's

MILESTONES: Brandon Hussey is 4 catches away from 250 career receptions and 205 yards away from 3000, and 14 points away from 300 in his Sharks career. Sharks QB Gary Cooper is still in search of his first win in a Sharks uniform. Brandon Jackson made his first Pro and Arena Football start last week DROPBACK: The Sharks lost to Bossier Shreveport 59-14 last week.

FORWARD MOTION: Corpus Christi will take next week off and return to action April 25th in Rio Grande Valley.

TEAM NOTES/TRENDS:

Stability at QB: The Sharks felt going into the season that they finally found their franchise QB, but, Gary Cooper has not played to form in his first two games and will look to get on track this week against the Dusters.

Who's #1, or 2, or 3? WR's Brandon Hussey and Jonathan Graham return after each posted 1000 yard seasons last year. Brandon Jackson got his first start of the season last week but Tim Harris is pushing for a spot this week. To complicate matters, Nate Fricke will be eligible to come off the IR after the bye week.

Lets get Physical... After two games Sharks defensive coordinator Quinn Cairo is not happy about the lack of physical play by his secondary. Look for the guys to step it up this week or look for changes during the bye week.

PLAYERS/MATCHUPS TO WATCH: Sharks Offensive and Defensive Lines: The Sharks continued to look good up front last week, one of the few bright spots. The line looks to continue their solid protection this week against a very aggressive Amarillo defensive front.

Sharks Secondary: The Sharks have struggled against the bigger more physical WR's from Rio Grande and Bossier. Look for that to change this week and the secondary to be far more physical then they have in the previous two games.

Can You Tackle a House? The new face at Fullback this year Wallace House is aptly named. His big bruising style left opposing defenses stymied while producing 12 TD's in 11 games for Florida in 2007. Last week House rushed for his first TD of the 2009 season and delivered the key block on a Gary Cooper keeper.
