The Sharks and Salamanders combined for 15 runs on 20 hits, but it was Holly Springs (10-22) coming out on top against Wilmington (11-20) by a score of 10-5.

Then in the seventh, the Sharks moved back into striking distance. Ben LaSpaluto crushed his second home run of the summer against his former team to make it 6-4. Then with one out, Mason Streater reached on a fielder's choice to drive in a run to make it a one run ball game.

The Salamanders would score the game's final four runs, including three more in the eighth to close out the Sharks.

Holly Springs used nine different pitchers but it was Riley Myers (1-1) earning the win after allowing one run in the fourth inning. Sharks starter Austin Skipper (0-1) lost lasting only 2.2 innings.
