
Sharks Add Two Veteran ArenaBowl Champions

JACKSONVILLE - The Jacksonville Sharks announced Thursday that veteran defensive end Antron Dillon and veteran offensive lineman Duke Robinson were assigned to the Jacksonville active roster. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Dillon (6'5", 270, University of North Alabama) enters his fifth season in the AFL and his first with the Jacksonville Sharks. Beginning his AFL career in 2012 with the Arizona Rattlers, Dillon assisted in two ArenaBowl Championships with the Rattlers before he was assigned to the Portland Thunder in 2014. Dillon spent 2015 with the LA KISS where he recorded 23.5 total tackles (15 solo and 3.5 tackles for loss), four pass break-ups and 1.5 sacks. Through his career, Dillon has combined for 68.5 total tackles (50 solo and 13 tackles for loss) 8.5 sacks and seven pass blocks. He was also a collegiate star at the University of North Alabama where he started all four years for the football and basketball team. A native of Hammond, Louisiana, Dillon attended Independence High School where he played outside linebacker.
Robinson (6'5", 330, University of Oklahoma) , former Sooners star lineman comes to Jacksonville after two seasons with the San Jose SaberCats. Robinson began his AFL career with the Utah Blaze in 2013. After the Blaze disbanded, Robinson was assigned to the Spokane Shock. In 2014, Robinson started eight games with the Shock before finishing the season with the San Jose SaberCats. Robinson remained in San Jose for the 2015 Championship run, appearing in ArenaBowl XXVIII against the Sharks. In college, he was a major part in winning two Big 12 Championships and was named FirstTeam All-American, selected twice for the First-Team All-Big 12 and was named in the All-Decade Team in 2009 by Sports Illustrated. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Robinson attended Washington High School and started three years at offensive tackle.
