TULSA, OK - The Central Hockey League announced today that Tulsa Oilers goaltender Shane Madolora has been selected as the CHL Goalie of the Week for the period ending December 8, 2013.

Madolora, in his second season with the Oilers, backstopped Tulsa to three consecutive wins last weekend. On Friday evening on home ice, the California native turned aside 25 shots to help the Oilers earn a 5-3 victory over the Arizona Sundogs. Madolora put together one of his best performances of the season on Saturday night in Wichita when he made 32 saves on 33 shots and blanked the Thunder over the final 40 minutes to lift the Oilers to a 4-1 win against their biggest rival. The 26-year old recorded his third straight win on Sunday afternoon with 30 stops in Tulsa's 4-3 triumph over the Sundogs. Over the course of the weekend, Madolora saved 87 of the 94 shots he faced.

Madolora has been between the pipes for 11 of the Oilers 13 victories this season and ranks second in the CHL in wins. In 19 starts this season, Madolora is 11-7-0 with a 3.07 goals against average and a .903 save percentage.

In recognition of his achievement, Madolora will receive a special gift from Oakley.

The Oilers, who sit in second place in the CHL standings, make their first and only visit of the season to Brampton this week for three games in four days against the Beast. Tulsa and Brampton will face off on Thursday (6:00 p.m.), Friday (6:30 p.m.), and Sunday (1:00 p.m.).
