Several Players Commit to Erie Otters

Erie, Pennsylvania - The Erie Otters Hockey Club is pleased to announce that seven of their draft picks over the last two OHL Priority Selections have agreed to standard Ontario Hockey League player agreements with the team.

Shaun Bily, Jake Lawr, and Kyle Maksimovich committed to the Otters to round out Erie's top four picks from the 2014 OHL Priority Selection all joining the team. Bily, a 5' 11", 170 pound left handed center, was taken 45th overall in the third round. Lawr, a 6' 2" goaltender was selected by the Otters 28th overall in the second round. Maksimovich, a 5' 6", 150 pound left handed winger, was take 59th overall in the third round and is the younger brother of current Erie Otters forward Quentin.

Other commits include draft picks Trent Fox, Patrick Fellows, T.J. Fergus, and Frank Puci from the 2013 OHL Priority Selection.

The seven players will participate in Erie Otters training camp with a full roster to be released in the near future. Training camp is scheduled to be held at the Erie Insurance Arena Tuesday, August 26 through Sunday, August 31. Erie's first preseason exhibition game will be held at the Erie Insurance Arena on Saturday, August 30 against the Mississauga Steelheads. Face-off is scheduled for 5 p.m.
