
Seven Top Prospects Headline Roster for Hot Rods 15th Season

Bowling Green, Kentucky - The Bowling Green Hot Rods, High-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, are excited to reveal the roster prior to the 15th season at Bowling Green Ballpark. 15 players return to the squad, with 13 new faces making their Hot Rods debut, combining for seven of the Rays top 30 prospects.
Last season, Hot Rods hitters combined for a .259 batting average with 175 home runs and 642 runs batted in. Six of those players will rejoin the team for opening day. Xavier Isaac, No. 4 Rays and No. 58 MLB Top 100 prospect, along with No. 12 prospect and speedster Chandler Simpson will start their seasons in Bowling Green.
Other returners include 2023 4th round pick Hunter Haas, 2022 2nd round pick Brock Jones, as well as infielders Kamren James and Blake Robertson. They will be joined by 7 first-year Hot Rods hitters in 2024. No. 5 Rays prospect Brayden Taylor will make his Bowling Green debut, the same with No. 16 prospect Colton Ledbetter, No. 24 prospect Cooper Kinney, Angel Galarraga, Tatem Levins, Ryan Spikes, and Jhon Diaz.
A majority of the returning players from 2023 will be seen on the mound for the 2024 season. No. 18 prospect, right-hander Yoniel Curet will bring his talents back to Bowling Green, along with Alex Cook, Nate Dahle, Duncan Davitt, Roel Garcia III, Sandy Gaston, JJ Goss, Jeff Hakanson, and Kyle Whitten.
Headlining the new additions to the Hot Rods pitching staff will be No. 21 Rays Prospect Trevor Martin. He will be joined by Jake Christianson, Jonny Cuevas, T.J. Fondtain, Jack Hartman, and Drew Sommers.
