Seven Rattlers Honored on All-Arena Selection

Phoenix, Ariz. - The Arena Football League (AFL) just announced that the five-time world champion Arizona Rattlers have seven players make the 2016 All-Arena team, six of whom were on first team, one on second team.

OFFENSE:

First-Team

QB Nick Davila

FB Mykel Benson

C Jordan Mudge

WR Rod Windsor

DEFENSE:

First-Team

DL Damien Borel

MLB Tyre Glasper

Second-Team

NG Dimetrio Tyson

QB Nick Davila (6-foot-3, 220, Cincinnati): Davila led the league in both passing touchdowns (110) and completion percentage (69.6 percent). He was also in the top three in passing yards (4,198), average yards per game (262.4), pass efficiency (125.1), and completions (353).

FB Mykel Benson (6-foot, 275, Florida A&M): Benson tied for the league lead in touchdowns (20) and was part of a dominant pass protection that only allowed eight sacks all season.

C Jordan Mudge (6-foot-4, 320, Nevada): Mudge was an integral part of the Rattlers pass protection stifling pass protection.

WR Rod Windsor (6-foot-2, 205, Western New Mexico): Windsor was second in the league in receptions (145), reception yards (1,667), reception touchdowns (48), receptions per game (9.1), and reception yards per game (104.2).

DL Damien Borel (6-foot-4, 300, Butte Community College): Borel was second in the league in sacks (6.5), and forth overall in tackles for loss (7.5).

MLB Tyre Glasper (6-foot-3, 265, North Carolina A&T): This is Glasper's second straight first team All-Arena selection. He had 24.5 tackles and four sacks.

NG Dimetrio Tyson (6-foot-2, 275, Jacksonville State): Tyson was the only Rattlers' rookie to make the All-Arena team. He was third in the league in sacks (6) and in tackles for loss (8).
