Seven Generals Players to Attend NHL Training Camps

NHL Training Camps are just around the corner and seven players from the Oshawa Generals will head to their National Hockey League (NHL) draft teams to begin camp.

On Sept. 10, six of seven Generals players will head to camp including, 1st round pick, Michael Dal Colle (New York Islanders), CHL Import Draft, Tobias Lindberg (Ottawa Senators), captain, Josh Brown (Florida Panthers), centre, Cole Cassels (Vancouver Canucks), right winger, Hunter Smith (Calgary Flames), and goaltender, Kenny Appleby (Chicago Blackhawks). Jacob Busch will follow closely behind, heading to Arizona Coyotes training camp on Sept. 12.

Whatever the outcome of 2014 NHL Training Camp may be, the opportunity for these players to attend camp is extremely valuable. We wish Michael, Tobias, Josh, Cole, Hunter, Kenny, and Jacob the best of luck at their respective camps.

Back in Oshawa, players are preparing for two home exhibition games taking place this weekend. The Generals take on the Kingston Frontenacs at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday night at Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex in Bowmanville. Following this game, they'll wrap up the pre-season at the Pickering Recreation Complex when the Gens take on the Peterborough Petes at 6:05 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the GM Centre box office (Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) for $15 each or at the doors.
