Senators Recall Forward Bobby Butler from Binghamton

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 5, 2010) - The Ottawa Senators today recalled forward Bobby Butler from the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators .

Butler, 23, has recorded 15 goals, along with eight assists and 17 penalty minutes in 25 games with Binghamton this season. Butler was recently named Reebok/AHL Rookie of the Month for November, when he scored nine goals - including four game-winners - and added six assists for 15 points in 14 games.

Butler signed a two-year entry-level contract with the Senators on March 29 and appeared in two National Hockey League games in 2009-10, scoring no points. The native of Framingham, Mass., recorded 61 goals, 60 assists and 88 penalty minutes over his four-year 153-game collegiate career at the University of New Hampshire. He was a finalist for the 2010 Hobey Baker award after scoring 29 goals and adding 24 assists in 39 games during his senior season.
