Senators Reassign Forward Stephane Da Costa to Binghamton

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Jan. 22, 2012) - The Ottawa Senators today reassigned forward Stephane Da Costa to the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators .

Da Costa, 22, began the season with Ottawa, registering five points (three goals, two assists) and eight penalty minutes over 22 contests before being assigned to the B-Sens on Nov. 27. In 21 games with Binghamton this season, he has recorded nine goals and 10 assists for 19 points.

Signed as an undrafted college free agent by the Senators on March 31, 2011, the Paris native made his NHL debut last April 2 against Toronto. He scored his first NHL goal in Ottawa's 6-5 loss at Toronto on Oct. 8.

The Senators continue their six-game road trip on Monday, when they visit the Los Angeles Kings at 10:30 p.m. EST, a contest which will be televised by Sportsnet East. The B-Sens next see action tonight when they host the Adirondack Phantoms at 5:05 p.m.
