Brodeur, 27, served as back-up to Brian Elliott in Ottawa's 3-2 loss to the Washington Capitals on Sunday.
Before his recall to Ottawa, Brodeur was assigned for conditioning on Dec. 18 to the Senators' East Coast Hockey League affiliate, the Elmira Jackals, where he has posted a record of 2-1-0 this season. Brodeur turned aside 30 shots in a 5-0 shutout victory over Toledo in his most recent game on Saturday, Dec. 18.
