Harrisburg Senators News Release
Harrisburg, PA - The Harrisburg Senators proudly announce that earlier today the team made a $10,000 contribution to the Against the Odds movie project about the U.S. Red Land Champions and their inspiring story about their journey to the 2015 Little League World Series in Williamsport.
"This is Central PA, we work here, we make a living here," said Senators President Kevin Kulp. "These kids represent our fans, they come to our games, and they did amazing things promoting baseball in this region. We wanted to be at the forefront of promoting baseball in Central PA and are proud to support their movie project."
The Senators hosted the U.S. Little League Champions on Sunday, September 6. The team took batting practice, met the players, and signed autographs. The local area came out to the park in droves as over 6,500 fans attended the game that Sunday afternoon.
In addition to the $10,000 contribution, the team is also contributing 50% of the net ticket proceeds from "Pay What You Want Night" which is Tuesday, April 26 against the Hartford Yard Goats. Fans are allowed to come to FNB Field on that Tuesday night and pay what they want in $1 increments. This excludes the PinnacleHealth CARES suite level, Sutliff Dugout Suites and the club seats. The special "Pay What You Want Night" promotion is only good at the box office the night of the game.
The 2016 home opener is Thursday, April 14th against the Reading Fightin Phils. The Senators box office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available via telephone during the same hours as the box office hours. Tickets are also available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, online at www.senatorsbaseball.com. You can find the Senators on Facebook at facebook.com/senatorsbaseball or @hbgsenators on Twitter.
