Harrisburg Senators News Release
The Harrisburg Senators have some big doings both on and off the field this week. The Sens play two of their three in-state rivals this week, the Reading Phillies and Altoona Curve. The Senators lead the Southern Division of the Eastern League with a 23-13 record.
With the recent changes to the Senators roster, the Sens are now loaded with top Washington Nationals prospects. The Senators are also expecting two-time major league all-star Dmitri Young to join them on an major league rehab assignment beginning Tuesday night.
One of the Nationals top pitching prospects, Cory VanAllen was just named the Bank of America Eastern League Pitcher of the Week. VanAllen is scheduled to start Friday night against the Altoona Curve.
