Senators Drop Series Finale in Richmond 11-4

Sunday afternoon in Richmond, the Flying Squirrels broke out the heavy lumber and defeated the Sens 11-4. Richmond had a season-high 22 hits, with at least two in every inning but the second. The Senators fall to 17-18 and now return home for a three-game series beginning Tuesday night against New Britain.

Tyler Moore had three hits in the loss and drove in a run and Jonathan Tucker had two doubles. The Senators had leads of 1-0 and 3-2, but couldn't hold either lead.

The story Sunday was the Richmond offense. They came into the game last in the league in batting, but had seven multi-hit innings in the win. Their 22 hits is the franchise high for the Flying Squirrels, it's also the most hits against the Senators this season.
