San Angelo, TX--The Jackson Senators piled up 14 runs on 14 hits in their 14-4 beating of the San Angelo Colts on Friday night. In that contest, the Colt's commited 4 errors which translated to 8 unearned runs. It would be San Angelo who would start the scoring, with a Tony James 2-run homer coming in the 1st. The Sens would cut the lead in half the following inning, with a Nick Sorenson RBI double. The score would stay 2-1 till the 6th, when Jackson would send 14 men to the plate in a 7 run inning, in that frame the would knock Colt's starter Mike Henry from the contest. San Angelo would answer with a 2-run blast from Juan Rocha to bring the Colts to within 4, but Jackson tacked on 6 more runs in the 9th, including 5 unearned to finish their scoring. Josh Tranum hit his 6th homer of the year against San Angelo, a 2 run blow in the 9th. Rusty Camp would pick up just his 2nd win of the season away from Smith Wills Stadium, revenging a loss to the Colts just 4 days earlier. Camp would go to 6-5 with the win while Mike Henry falls to 6-3 with the loss. Steve Newson would go 5-5 with 3 RBI's while Tony James would led the Colts with a 2-2 evening in a losing cause.
