Mississippi RiverKings News Release
SOUTHAVEN---After a very successful first year, the RiverKings, Maddox Sports and Hernando Youth Sports are once again hosting and sponsoring a benefit golf tournament to benefit the Jr. StreetKings and Jr. RiverKings youth hockey programs.
The four-person scramble format tournament will feature morning and afternoon flights and will be held on Friday, October 7 at The Club at North Creek. Golfers can start signing up their teams now by going to www.riverkings.com and clicking on the golf tournament icon on the left side of the page.
Something new this year is the opportunity for teams to request a RiverKings player or staff member to be a part of their foursome.
The fees for this year's event remain unchanged from last year, $500 for a team of four or $125 for individual participants. Non-golfers can also support the tournament by attending the evening dinner, awards, silent auction and autograph session for a $20 donation.
Last year's tournament raised just under $7,000 for the Jr. StreetKings and Jr. RiverKings, a figure organizers hope to top this year.
You can log on to www.riverkings.com or call the RiverKings office at 662-342-1755 for more information. Also, be looking for more golf tournament information in the coming months.
Season tickets for the 2005-2006 RiverKings' season are available now. For season ticket information, call the RiverKings at 662-342-1755 and ask for the sales department or stop by the DCC during business hours.
