CARY, NC (October 9, 2013) - Come enjoy live music, beer, liquor, and German-style food at the Second Annual RailHawks Homebrew Soktoberfest presented by R.A. Jeffrey's and Lonerider Brewing Co. on Saturday, October 26that WakeMed Soccer Park. The pregame festival will begin at 5:00 p.m. prior to the Carolina RailHawks home match versus the Atlanta Silverbacks.

Entry into Soktoberfest starts at $10 and includes access to the Lonerider Brewing Co. beer caddy, liquor sampling from Southern Wine and Spirits, and sampling and a vote in the Homebrew Competition, which consist of the most passionate local homebrewers and their top recipes. For an additional $5, a meal option can be purchased to complete your Soktoberfest experience with German-style food. Over 20 homebrewers have signed up with the title of 2014 RailHawks Homebrew Master on the line. The Homebrew Master will win a party and free brewery tour for 10 at Lonerider Brewing Co., a beer consultation from Lonerider's owners and master brewers, 2 suite ticket to the RailHawks regular season finale on November 2nd, and the RailHawks Homebrew Champions Mug. A new addition to the Soktoberfest lineup, the RailHawks will be handing out awards and prizes for the best Soktoberfest costume.

The Carolina RailHawks' Spread Your Wings Charity, Inc. will host Soktoberfest for a second year and a portion of the proceeds from the event will go towards improving fan experiences at WakeMed Soccer Park for the 2014 Season. One of the fastest growing breweries in the Triangle, LoneRider will be on-hand to serve their award-winning beers; Shotgun Betty, Sweet Josie, and Peacemaker. Southern Wine and Spirits will also be sampling Cabin Fever maple flavored whisky and George Dickel No. 8, a classic Tennessee whisky.

The RailHawks remain on the road until Saturday, October 26th when they host Atlanta Silverbacks at WakeMed Soccer Park.
