Seattle Storm News Release

SEATTLE - The Seattle Storm announced today its first Voting Rights Night on July 1 as part of Force4Change-the Storm's comprehensive social justice platform. The team partnered with non-profits Rock the Vote, ACLU Washington and Common Power to encourage voter registration and raise awareness of voting in different elections.

During the game, ACLU Washington and Common Power will be on the arena concourse answering questions and helping fans with their registration process as the Storm takes on the Indiana Fever at 7 p.m. PT.

"A key pillar of Force4Change is 'Voting & Education' and we are successfully touching on both during Voting Rights Night. We are grateful to have such strong partners, Rock the Vote, ACLU Washington and Common Power, join us in efforts to bring our community to the polls," said Crystal Langhorne, Storm and Force4Change Director of Community Engagement.

Washington State has two elections scheduled for the second half of the year: the Primary, on August 2, and the General Election, on November 8. Storm fans who attend the July 1 game will be able to register for both.

The Storm has six home games remaining in the 2022 season and tickets to each game are still available, including the final home game of the regular season on Sunday, August 7, vs Las Vegas. For more information, visit http://stormbasketball.com or call 206-217-WNBA (9622).
