Seattle Reign FC News Release
SEATTLE (January 26, 2015) - Seattle Reign FC announced today that the club has waived defender Megan Brigman.
"Despite the limited minutes she played last season, Megan was an important part of our squad," Seattle Reign FC general manager and head coach Laura Harvey said. "Given the increased depth of our squad this season we felt her chances would be further limited, which lead to the decision to waive Megan."
A graduate of the University of North Carolina, Brigman was selected by Reign FC with the No. 17 overall pick in the 2014 NWSL College Draft. During the 2014 season, Brigman played in only two matches, registering a total of 17 minutes on the field.
"We wish Megan the best and believe she has the quality to play in the NWSL this season," added Harvey.
Reign FC will open the 2015 season at home on Sunday, April 12 against Abby Wambach and the Western New York Flash. Season ticket packages for Seattle's upcoming season start at just $195. Fans looking to purchase tickets can call (855) REIGN-FC or visit ReignFC.com today.
