Season of Success Continues for Graves

The Charlottetown Islanders are pleased to announce that 18 year old defenseman Ryan Graves has been selected to represent Team QMJHL, which will compete against Team Russia in the 2013 SUBWAY® Super Series.

The Gatineau Olympiques will host the first game of the series on Monday, November 18th at the Robert Guertin Centre, while the Sherbrooke Phoenix will host game two at the Palais des Sports Léopold-Drolet on Wednesday, November 20th.

Graves, who earlier this year was drafted in the fourth round by the New York Rangers, and currently serves as an Assistant Captain for the Islanders. He has played in 14 games. and has three assists and is a plus one.

Islanders add player to line up

The Charlottetown Islanders have signed 19 year old free agent, Spencer Cobbold. Cobbolt is a 5'9", 170 lbs. left winger from Stittsville, Ontario. He most recently played with the Mississauga Steeleheads, of the Ontario Hockey League. Last season Cobbold scored 9 goals and added 14 assists, while totalling 78 minutes in penalties, in 64 games, for the Steeleheads.

"We continue to work on improving our hockey club", says Grant Sonier General Manager of the Charlottetown Islanders. "Spencer will bring a pugilistic approach to the game that we are looking for on a nightly basis from our hockey team. We expect to have him join the team in the very near future".
