Frisco RoughRiders News Release

FRISCO, Texas - Fifteen seasons, 2,096 games, 520 players, nearly eight million fans and countless unforgettable moments all come together in 2018 as the Frisco RoughRiders, Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, celebrate their 15th Anniversary Season presented by Mayfield Creamery.

The journey through RoughRiders' history lasts all season, as the club remembers many of the best players, coaches, moments and milestones in the club's first 15 years in Frisco. Fans are in store for special video tributes, guest appearances and other in-game commemorations to spotlight 15 years' worth of memories on the field, in the stands and around the community.

RoughRiders fans can also get in on the fun by selecting the 15th Anniversary Dream Team. Fans can vote on their favorite all-time Riders at every position through ballots available online and at games at Dr Pepper Ballpark this season. Fans can also register to win special prizes, including tickets, by voting online.

The 15th Anniversary Celebration Weekend (Aug. 3-5) is the grand culmination of the season-long walk down memory lane. As part of Celebration Weekend, the franchise will unveil the 15th Anniversary Dream Team, welcome back former players and recognize those lasting moments in the franchise's storied past with special presentations throughout Dr Pepper Ballpark.

The festivities are only part of the fun that weekend. The Riders have three must-have giveaways planned, highlighted by a Mt. SLUGmore bobblehead on Saturday, Aug. 4, immortalizing four of the best hitters in franchise history - Ian Kinsler, Joey Gallo, Chris Davis and Adrian Gonzalez . The other two giveaways are a Riders Dream Team T-shirt (Aug. 3) and a Riders Dream Team Card Set (Aug. 5).

The 15th Anniversary Season also affords the Riders a chance to celebrate their longstanding commitment to the community by partnering with a wide array of area non-profit organizations. Each of the organizations listed below takes center stage for selected games in 2018, with enhanced promotion on the ballpark's video and LED boards, proceeds from the 50/50 raffle, and a chance to join the in-game entertainment and skits.
