SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs dropped a 6-1 decision as the Halifax Mooseheads swept the first-round playoff series to end Saint John's 2012-2013 campaign.
Maxime Villemaire broke the shut out bid with the lone Sea Dogs goal and Sebastien Auger turned aside 44 shots in the loss.
Stefan Fournier had two goals and Nathan MacKinnon, Luca Ciampini, Matthew Boudreau and Darcy Ashley scored in the victory for Halifax. Zachary Fucale stopped 14 in the series-clinching victory.

It was the power play that got the Mooseheads on the board first as Fournier made it 1-0 at 10:12 with the man advantage.
MacKinnon furthered the Mooseheads' lead at 12:33 with another power play goal.
The Mooseheads completely controlled the puck in the first, carrying a 19-1 shot advantage into the first intermission.
Saint John didn't catch any breaks in the second either. Ciampini scored at 2:55 to make it 3-0.
Just under three minutes later at 5:51, Boudreau extended the lead with his second of the series.
Ashley added another to make it 5-0 at 19:20 of the second.
Fournier potted his second of the night at 3:5y of the final period.
Villemaire made it 6-1 and broke Fucale's shutout bid at 7:33 with the game's final goal.
The Sea Dogs will be back in action as training camp opens in August. We thank our fans for all their support this season and look forward to continuing the journey in 2013-14.
