Season Ends as Tomahawks Stun Titans in Overtime

New Jersey Titans News Release

JOHNSTOWN, Penn. - The 2015-16 season came to a heartbreaking end as the Titans came up on the short end of a game and series-winning goal by Johnstown captain Logan Hudson.

The Titans, still dealing with the shock of being within 14 seconds of forcing game four, couldn't overcome the drastic momentum swing.

With a faceoff in their own zone and under 30 seconds to play, the Titans had trouble keeping the puck out of Johnstown's possession. It made clearing the puck paramount. After an initial shot was stopped by netminder Jack Berry, the puck fluttered in front of the crease. Both teams swatted at it, before Anthony Parrucci got enough on it to squeak it over the goal line.

In overtime, the game-winner was much like the game-winner in game three, Jack Berry made a save and the rebound came to a waiting Tomahawk stick to put in the net.

The game was tight throughout as it took almost two periods for a goal to be scored by either team. The deadlock ended in New Jersey's favor off the stick of its leading goal-scorer in the regular season, Ray Brice.

It came with time winding down in the second period. Brice found himself with a lot of time in space. He patiently waited for Tomahawk goaltender Andrew Lindgren to make a move first before shooting it over Lindgren after he went down to the butterfly.

It just wasn't enough as the Tomahawks completed the series sweep, 3-0 in a best of five.
