Orlando â Joe Urbanik scored two goals and Jerry Keefe had a four-point game as the Orlando Seals defeated the Miami Manatees 6-2 Saturday night in front of a crowd of 3,005.
Urbanik's goals were numbers two and three for the Seals forward.
Miami started the scoring early in the first period on a goal by Ryan Kiley only 1:58 into the period. The Seals knotted the score 1-1 on a B.J. Stephens tally at 13:43. The goal was a team-high sixth of the season for Stephens. Mark White and Keefe received assists on the play.
Orlando took a 2-1 lead in the second frame on Keefe's fourth of the season, an unassisted tally at 16:05. The Manatees got the equalizer at 2:39 of the third when former Seal Todd Nowicki wristed home a rebound for a 2-2 hockey game.
Joe Pecoraro's power play goal at 4:04 proved to be the game-winner, as David Goverde shut the door on several good scoring chances for the Manatees.
Orlando's next game is Friday, December 5, when they travel to Birmingham, Alabama, to take on the Alabama Slammers at 8:05 p.m. eastern. The Seals return to the T.D. Waterhouse Centre ice Sunday, December 7, to face the Miami Manatees at 6:05 p.m.
