
Seals Hand Manatees First Loss of Season

Miami â The Manatees were handed their first loss in regulation time this season, dropping a 6 to 4 decision to the Orlando Seals at the TD Waterhouse center.
The Manatees were able to score first on a Ryan Kiley goal at 1:58 in the first period, but the Seals scored the next two goals to take a 2-1 lead into the third period.
In the third, Todd Nowicki beat David Goverde to tie the game, but Orlando scored four unanswered goals to seal the victory at home.
Goaltender Sean Weaver was handed his first loss of the season, bringing his record to 5-1-1. Despite the loss, the Manatees retain a three point lead and remain in first place in the WHA2 with 11 points.
The Miami Manatees play in the Miami Arena as part of the six-team WHA2. The Miami Manatees will face off against the Alabama Slammers, Jacksonville Barracudas, Lakeland Loggerheads, Macon Trax, and Orlando Seals in the WHA2's inaugural season.
