
Sea Dogs Recall G Stewart Bagnell for Game in Halifax

SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs have recalled goaltender Stewart Bagnell from the (Dartmouth) Steele Subaru Major Midgets of the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League (NSMMHL).
Bagnell, 16, played twenty games in his second campaign with Steele Subaru, posting a 15-4 record with a 1.84 goals-against average and a .930 save percentage. The Halifax product is 3-2 in five playoff games, helping Steele Subaru advance to the NSMMHL championship series, which begins this weekend.
Saint John selected Bagnell in the eighth round (145th overall) of the 2017 QMJHL Entry Draft. He made his QMJHL debut on November 3rd, turning aside 30 shots in a loss to the Sagueneens in Chicoutimi. He also appeared in two preseason games with the Sea Dogs.
He is scheduled to join the team for tonight's game at 7 p.m. against the Halifax Mooseheads at Scotiabank Centre, and then return to Steele Subaru tomorrow.
