The Sea Dogs begin an 18-game stretch against the Western Division on Tuesday night, opening up a three-game series against the Erie SeaWolves (Tigers affiliate) at Hadlock Field...Portland owns the best record in the Eastern League.

WILD WEST : Tonight, the Sea Dogs begin an 18-game stretch against the Western Division, opening up a three-game series against the Erie SeaWolves (Tigers affiliate) at Hadlock Field...Portland owns the best record in the Eastern League, and is coming off their fifth road-series win of the season (took 3 of 4 from Trenton over the weekend)...Erie has won four straight, and trails the Richmond Flying Squirrels by 4.5 games for the second playoff spot in the Western Division.

THEY GOT ONE : Portland won the first 3 games of their series over the weekend in Trenton, but the Thunder grabbed the series finale 6-4 on Sunday...Trenton scored five times in the sixth inning off losing pitcher LHP Mickey Pena (2-1) and RHP Matty Ott...Portland rallied in the ninth, cutting the deficit on SS Deven Marrero's two-out single to right...LHP Tyler Webb stranded the bases loaded by fanning 1B Stefan Welch, and earning his third save of the year...LHP Matt Tracy (6-2) worked six innings on eight hits and three runs to earn the win...RF Bo Greenwell knocked in two runs and reached base twice.
