
Fisher Cats Roll to Fourth Straight Win

MANCHESTER, NH- The Fisher Cats scored six times in the bottom of the third inning and rolled to a fourth straight win, beating Bowie 10-2 before 6,845 onTuesday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
New Hampshire (22-35) scored the runs in just two innings, matching a seasons-best with the six runs in the third. Jonathan Jones (3-for-4) singled and scored on a triple by Jon Berti. Ryan Schimpf doubled Berti home to tie the game at 2-2. Hector Gimenez knocked in a run with a single, Kevin Nolan doubled home two and he scored on a single by Michael Crouse.
The Fisher Cats also scored four times in the seventh inning. Schimpf hit his team-leading 11th homer on the first pitch of the frame. Gimenez doubled and moved to third on a single by Andy Burns. Mike McDade grounded into a force, with Gimenez out at the plate. Burns advanced to third on the play and scored when the catcher threw wild trying to stop his advance. Kevin Nolan followed with a walk, McDade scored on Crouse's RBI groundout, and Jones knocked in the tenth run with a double.
The first two Bowie (29-28) batters reached and scored. Chih-Hsien Chiang singled and Niuman Romero walked. Both scored on a double to right-center by Dariel Alvarez.
Aaron Sanchez (2-4) earned his first win since the season opener on April 3. He worked five innings, allowing the two runs on five hits. He walked one and struck out a seasons-best seven hitters. John Anderson worked three scoreless innings without allowing a hit in relief with four strikeouts. Arik Sikula worked the ninth inning with three strikeouts. New Hampshire pitchers struck out 14 in the win.
Eduardo Rodriguez (1-3) took the loss for the Baysox, allowing six runs in three innings.
The series with the Baysox continues on Wednesday at 10:35 a.m. It's an Educational Day at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
