
Sea Dogs Annouce Season-Opening Roster

Saint John Sea Dogs News Release
SAINT JOHN, NB --- Saint John Sea Dogs Director of Hockey Operations Mike Kelly announced today the team's season-opening roster for the upcoming 2009-2010 campaign. The Sea Dogs will open the year with 24 players on their active roster, a total which includes two goaltenders, eight defensemen, and 14 forwards. The Sea Dogs also announced today that 18-year old winger Andrew Langan has been designated for assignment with the Woodstock Slammers of the MJAHL. Langan scored one goal for Saint John in three pre-season games during the '09 pre-season. A native of Quispamsis, NB, Langan was originally selected by the Sea Dogs in the fifth round (73rd overall) of the 2007 QMJHL Entry Draft.
Saint John will kick off their fifth anniversary season on Friday night at 7pm when they battle the Titan at Bathurst's K.C. Irving Regional Centre. The Sea Dogs' home opener is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 19 at 7pm versus the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles.
