Sea Dogs' 2009-10 Schedule Announced

SAINT JOHN, NB --- The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League unveiled its 2009-10 schedule today, with the divisional format and matchup ratios from last season remaining in tact.

Saint John will open the fifth season in franchise history on the road versus Acadie-Bathurst on Friday, September 11, with the team's home opener scheduled to take place the following Saturday, September 19 at 7pm versus Cape Breton.

"We're very much looking forward to the upcoming season," says Team President Wayne Long. "The changes we've made to our hockey operations staff over the course of the last few months have strengthened our franchise greatly and we can't wait for the puck to drop in September. We're very pleased with the makeup of our home schedule this year, with the majority of our games set to take place on weekends. This is definitely the most balanced schedule we've had since we entered the league, and we hope that our fans are satisfied with the results of our concerted effort to procure as favorable a home schedule as possible for the Harbour Station faithful."

In total the Sea Dogs will skate in one Tuesday home game, three Wednesday home games, two Thursday home games, six Friday home games, ten Saturday games, and twelve Sunday home games during the 2009-10 QMJHL regular season.
