Sea Dawgs News for the Week

February 28, 2008 - Premier Basketball League (PBL)
Wilmington Sea Dawgs News Release

Alvin Jefferson and Charles Ward spent some time this past Wednesday visiting with Cape Fear Academy students. Along with showing off their basketball skills, the Sea Dawgs players also answered student questions about balancing academics and athletics.

The Wilmington Sea Dawgs are also proud to be participating in Cape Fear Coast CVB's "Be a Tourist in your Hometown" event. Salty will be giving out free game tickets and other Sea Dawgs goodies at the mascot event this Sunday from 1pm - 3pm downtown (Market Street and Water Streets intersection). Stop by and say hello!

Player News

Alexander Harper will undergo knee surgery this week. He is expected to be sidelined for approximately two weeks.

To assist the team while Harper is out, the Sea Dawgs are pleased to welcome back Byron Mouton. He's a 6'4" forward from the University of Maryland.

We also welcome Marcus Benton to the team. A UNC-Charlotte graduate, he will be helping us out at the guard position.

The team travels to Illinois to play Rock River this Saturday at 8:05 p.m. Then they head to Chicago for the Triple "S" Showcase tournament. There they are scheduled to play Jacksonville on Monday and Dallas on Tuesday. More information will be available soon.
