
Sea Dawgs Announce Open Tryouts

Wilmington Sea Dawgs News Release
Wilmington, NC. The ABA Wilmington Sea Dawgs are placed to announce the second round of two-day Free Agent Tryouts scheduled for Saturday, September 16th and 17th at Cape Fear Community College's Schwartz Center.
"During our first round of tryouts, we identified several players with a lot of potential," said Head Coach Kevin Whitted. "We are still looking for additional players to help round out our team. From this two-day intensive tryout, twenty young men will be invited to Vet Camp on November 1st."
In addition, as a result of their performance in the first round of tryouts, the following individuals have been invited back to the second round:
Truman Newmann of Roxboro, NC Adrian Malcom of Orlando, FL Michael Pierce of Whiteville, NC Rahiem Murphie of Currie, NC Jabber Dickerson of Castle Hayne, NC Derek Frink of Shallotte, NC Allen Lester of Wilmington, NC Phillip Burrow of Greenville, SC Zachery Hermann of Wilmington, NC William Howard of Charlotte, NC Terrence Jones of Waxhaw, NC
Interested players may arrive at the gym as early as 830am with tryouts running from 9am until 1pm on Saturday and 9am until 3pm on Sunday. Candidate must be 18 years of age with a high school degree or equivalent. Players should wear appropriate shoes and clothing and come ready to compete.
Advance registration is $125 and is due by September 11th. On-site registrations will also be accepted at a charge of $150. All registration fees are non-refundable and payable by check or cash. Please be advised that participation in the open tryouts may jeopardize a player's NCAA eligibility. If you have any question about NCAA eligibility, please consult with your current basketball coach.
The Wilmington Sea Dawgs are currently accepting applications for a variety of positions, including assistant coach, internships and dance team choreographer.
