Screaming Eagles to Offer "Chase the Ace Sydney" Ticket Verification

Sydney - The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles announced today that they will have a Chase The Ace Sydney ticket verification station setup at their Saturday, March 26th playoff game against the Chicoutimi Saguenéens.

The winning number will be drawn at approximately 7:00pm and the number will be announced at Centre 200. If a fan attending the Screaming Eagles game believes that they have the winning ticket, they will have 25 minutes from the time of the draw to have their ticket verified at top of section 3 by a Chase the Ace Sydney representative. The prospective winner would then be provided with transportation to the Ashby Legion Branch 138 for final verification.

"We have a lot of fans that purchase chase the ace tickets each week so we wanted to find a way to make it convenient for them to attend the game while not having to stress about rushing to the Legion if they win," said Screaming Eagles General Manager - Business Operations, Peter MacDonald. "If a winner does come forward, we will be in immediate contact with the event organizers to let them know that a prospective winner is on their way."

This week's estimated jackpot is 1.3 million dollars if the ace of spades is drawn. There are nine cards remaining in the deck.

"We are thrilled to be offering this option in partnership with the Eagles. I am certain it will give many local hockey fans a sense of comfort, knowing that they can watch the game, cheer on our home team, and potentially become a millionaire all at the same time" said Stephen Tobin, Business Development Manager with the Horizon Achievement Centre, one of the partnering charities presenting the Chase the Ace Sydney event.

Chase the Ace tickets will not be sold at Centre 200; fans wishing to be part of the draw will need to purchase tickets between 2pm and 6pm at one of the eight sales locations listed below:

Sydney Academy

St. Theresa's Parish Hall

Grand Lake Rd Fire Hall

The New Dawn Centre for Social Innovation

The Joan Harriss Cruise Pavilion

The Mayflower Mall

A Screaming Eagles game ticket is required for entry to Centre 200; verification is only available for patrons attending the game.
