
Scrappers and Indians Renew Player Development Contract

NILES, OH - The Mahoning Valley Scrappers announce today that the Player Development Contract (PDC) with the Cleveland Indians has been extended for a period of two years keeping the Scrappers affiliated with the Indians through the 2018 season. The Scrappers have been affiliated with the Indians since the inaugural season in 1999.
"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to renew our partnership with the Cleveland Indians," stated Vice President of HWS Baseball and Scrappers General Manager, Jordan Taylor. "The Cleveland Indians are a first class organization and we are proud to be their partner. We look forward to watching the next wave of Cleveland Indians begin their careers at Eastwood Field."

The Mahoning Valley Scrappers are the Class-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians and play in the New-York Penn League. The Scrappers home opener is on Friday, June 17 against the West Virginia Black Bears.
