Rome, GA - Minor League Baseball has selected Rome Braves pitcher Scott Diamond for Pitcher of the Week honors in the South Atlantic League.
This past week was a solid one for Diamond who went 2-0 with an astounding 0.75 ERA in two starts. He gave up just one earned run in 12 innings of work along with 12 strikeouts.
The Braves return to State Mutual Stadium tomorrow night to begin a four game home stand against the Greenville Drive, an affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. For ticket information call 706-378-5144 or log on to www.romebraves.com .
