'Scorps Rewards' for Season Ticket Holders
September 15, 2004 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
New Mexico Scorpions News Release
ALBUQUERQUE â Season ticket holders are an important part of any professional sports organization, and the New Mexico Scorpions of the Central Hockey League are showing their appreciation with Scorps Rewards, a new incentive program for season subscribers featuring exciting prizes.
Three monthly drawings will be held to award prizes. The Grand Prize will be a trip to watch the Scorpions play in Memphis on Jan. 8 and 9. Included will be airfare for two, two nights in the team hotel, per diem, and a ride on the team bus to the morning practice and the games.
The winner of the First Prize will suit up as a member of the Scorpions for a home game at Tingley Coliseum. The winner will sign a CHL standard player's contract, receive his own jersey for the game and sit on the bench for the first period. Second Prize includes the opportunity to become the Scorpions' assistant coach for a game, while Third Prize will give one person the chance to practice with the Scorpions. In all, over 20 prizes will be awarded to Scorpions season ticket holders.
Fans who have already purchased 2004-05 season tickets are automatically entered for their chance to win. Those who have not yet become a part of the Scorpions' upcoming 2004-05 campaign can jump on board and be eligible for Scorps Rewards any time prior to the final drawing, the exact date of which will be announced shortly.
"Our season ticket holders are special and this is just one way to make them feel that way," said Scorpions President/CEO W.D. "Doug" Frank. "We have had a great response down in Corpus Christi when we announced a similar program and I expect the same feedback here in New Mexico. We are constantly searching for ways to add value to our product and excitement for our fans."
Season tickets for the 2004-2005 CHL season start as low as $320 and are on sale NOW. Season tickets also include a free entry into the Scorps Rewards prize pool. The Scorpions open their ninth season of pro hockey at Tingley Coliseum on Oct. 29 when they host the Corpus Christi Rayz at 7:05 p.m. Single-game tickets are expected to go on sale in early October.
