
Scoreless Streak Ends at 19 Innings, But Fielders Fall to Calgary 14-5

Zion, IL -The Lake County Fielders had been held scoreless since their five-run fifth inning Wednesday evening until the 19-inning streak came to a close Saturday with a first inning run.
Leading the offensive charge for the Fielders Saturday was newly acquired first baseman Jeremy Hunt. Hunt ended his first night as a Fielder by going 3-4 with a walk and an RBI single in the eighth.
Fielder's starter Mike Lueck lasted just two innings allowing seven runs; six earned on eight hits while walking one and striking out two.
The Calgary Vipers were led offensively by former Fielder CJ Ziegler who went 4-6 on the evening with a pair of homeruns. Ziegler ended the night with six RBI's and four runs scored; raising his batting average to .336 on the season with Calgary.
Viper's starter Garrett Holleran threw six innings allowing two runs; both earned on ten hits while walking four and striking out three.
Games 5 and 6 of this 8 game set are scheduled for Sunday as part of a two 7-innings doubleheader. Game 2 of the doubleheader will start 45 minutes after the final out is recorded in Game 1 at Fielders Stadium in Zion, Illinois.
