Schoonover Earns Cutters af2 Catch of the Week

(North Little Rock, AR) - Arkansas Twisters receiver Jon Schoonover has earned the Cutters' Catch of the Week as announced by the af2 League Office. The award honors the af2 player with the most outstanding catch from the previous week's games.

Schoonover's award winning catch occurred with 7:46 in the second quarter of the Twisters' game against Bossier-Shreveport. Arkansas quarterback Kyle Rowley threw a 10 yard touchdown pass to Schoonover. The Twisters' receiver started out with his back to the ball, turned in stride, caught the ball and landed on his back to complete the scoring play.

The Twisters won the game 69-55 to even its record at 4-4. Schoonover finished the game with seven catches for 58 yards and two touchdowns. He leads the Twisters in catches and receiving yards. The former Missouri Western State standout has 59 catches for 559 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.
