Tulsa Oilers News Release
For the second straight season, the Tulsa Oilers are teaming with the Tulsa Public Schools to present a school day game. This year's contest will be against the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs on Tuesday March 6th, and will begin at 10:05 a.m.
Last season, approximately 5,000 school children (and a total of 6,180 fans) attended the first American Airlines/Transport Workers Union Local 514 school day game, on February 7th.
"The energy in the building that day was incredible," Oilers coach Butch Kaebel said. "It certainly wasn't a problem to get up for the game. And it was great after the game when we'd get out in the community and meet kids who had gone to the game, or their parents, and they'd tell us how much they appreciated it."
The Oilers play at Bossier-Shreveport Friday night, in a game that can be
heard on KRVT AM 1270 and via the internet at www.tulsaoilers.com
Sunday, the Oilers host the Oklahoma City Blazers at 3 p.m. in a make-up
game from December 1st. Tickets from the December 1st game will be honored
Sunday. Tickets are available at the Carson Attraction box office located in
the Tulsa Convention Center, all Drug Mart locations and by calling (918)
584-2000.
