Scandella Reassigned to Aeros

HOUSTON --- Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned defenseman Marco Scandella to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Scandella, 20 (2/23/90), has two assists and two penalty minutes (PIM) in 16 games for the Wild this season. Scandella hasn ‚¬â„¢t played since suffering a concussion Jan. 14. He made his NHL debut Nov. 12 at Florida. The 6-foot-3, 217-pound native of Montreal, Quebec, has recorded 11 points (1-10-11), 15 PIM and a +1 rating in 26 games with the Aeros this season. Scandella was originally selected by Minnesota in the second round (No. 55 overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
