CARSON, Calif. (Thursday, April 16, 2009) - Undefeated Chivas USA, with a 3-0-1 record (W-L-T) and 10 points, hosts the second-place Seattle Sounders (3-1-0, 9 pts) this Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. PT at The Home Depot Center, in a match that will be broadcast live on Prime Ticket and KAZA Azteca 54. The first 10,000 fans through the gate will receive a special edition Chivas USA Cinch Backpack, courtesy of Time Warner Cable.
Chivas USA won its first three matches of the 2009 season and earned a draw last Saturday âat' the LA Galaxy, while Seattle, in its expansion year, also won its first three games before falling last weekend to Kansas City. The two teams are atop both the Western Conference and the league, and the Red-and-White are one of three MLS clubs still undefeated this season. Featuring head coach Sigi Schmid, who led the Columbus Crew to the MLS Cup last year and has previously coached both the LA Galaxy and UCLA, the Sounders have conceded just one goal through their first four games, while Chivas USA has allowed just two goals this season.

Additional Media Notes:
* Saturday's match is the first meeting between Chivas USA and Seattle Sounders FC, who have started their expansion season with three wins and a loss. The clubs are the top two in Major League Soccer, as the Red-and-White lead the league with 10 points from three wins and a tie, and Seattle is just behind, with nine points.
* Both teams will be without an important player due to a red card last weekend; Chivas USA midfielder Paulo Nagamura received two yellows in the 0-0 tie with the LA Galaxy, while Seattle goalkeeper Kasey Keller received a straight red for a handball outside of the box. Both players will serve the automatic one-game suspension on Saturday.
* Though the two teams have never met in MLS, the previous incarnation of the Seattle Sounders, which played in the USL First Division, met Chivas USA four times between 2006 and 2008. The first two matches, both exhibitions, were wins for the Red-and-White, while the second two were Open Cup matches, and both were won by the Sounders. All four games took place in Seattle, and current Sounders FC forward Sebastian Le Toux has scored four goals in his three games all time against Chivas USA.
